Our student will be provided with an IPad2 in which numerous apps will be available for him to improve his skills. One of the apps would be Popplet, a free app that easily creates mind maps across the curriculum. Additionally, the iBooks app would be installed to allow words, pictures, and audio to all come together for an enhanced reading experience.

Jonathan will also be provided with the Readingpen 2 as an aid when reading printed material from textbooks to worksheets to novels. He will also have access to the Readingpen 2 when taking tests and quizzes at school. (The Readingpen 2 comes equipped with headphones so Jonathan can use it without disturbing other students during testing.)

This subscription web-based instruction allows practice, assessment and reporting built from stateā€˜s standards. A text-to-speech feature interprets highlighted reading passages and questions for struggling readers. The questions have instant feedback to check for reading comprehension. Our student can use this product both at school and home to improve skills across the curriculum in communication arts.
